TYPO DOMAINS- DOES IT HAVE A VALUE??

Misspelt domains or Domain Typosquatting as it is usually referred to, is the acquiring of a domain name which has typographical error when compared to the generic name or the parent name from which it may have been taken. The parent name may be any generic name or a name taken from the names of popular websites.
The sole purpose of such a domain is to divert traffic going to the parent website and make them visit their website in order to generate a financial profit.

WHY WOULD USERS VISIT A SITE WITH TYPO DOMAINS??

Most of the Internet users are terrible typists. In typing the web address of a website in the URL address bar, they make typographical error. As a result, they are taken to a totally different website which may have nothing to do with the parent website.
Hence, these web addresses with TYPOS may receive a huge amount of traffic. The more common the typo, the more the traffic and more valuable it is. And where there is traffic, there is business. Therefore, some of these domains may be highly valuable in the domain industry.
For example, I want to go to Facebook.com but instead I type Facebookcom.com ,i.e., I missed the dot in between. Therefore, I am taken to a different website which adds to the traffic of the website.

IS IT ILLEGAL TO HAVE A TYPO DOMAIN??

Possessing a typo domain may or may not be illegal depending on whether it infringes the trademark of a company. If it does so, then the domain is definitely illegal. And the possession of such a domain may lead to extremely difficult circumstances to the owner.
When there is no trademark infringement with the parent domain and it do gets a lot of visitors daily, I would say the domain is highly valuable if used properly. It may lead to a good business advertising on those domains and generating a substancial amount of money. You may get many potential customers who may be converted to sales if the website is designed properly.

WHAT IS THE VALUE OF A TYPO DOMAIN??

The value of any domain name is always the amount of money a buyer is ready to spend on that domain. Be it any domain, if there are people ready to buy that domain, it is valuable and if there are no buyers for the domain, there is no value to it. And that is how domaining industry works. A 3-letter domain is valuable. How valuable?? There is no answer to that. While one 3-letter domain may fetch $5000 on selling, another similar 3-letter domain which may be valuable to a particular company or organization may be valued over $20,000 depending on how much is the buyer willing to spend and the negotiation skills of the seller. In case of auctions, it is the market which decides the value of a domain but you can always set the 'Reserve Price' for those domains in auctions.
Again, in case of typo domains, trend is not different. The value of one typo domain may be less or more than other typo domains. Even some of the typo domains may have zero value.
For selling a typo domain, I would always recommend approaching the end user, who in this case, is the owner of the parent domain from which the typo domain derives its name. In case the owner of the primary domain approaches you to buy the domain, the ball is in your court. Negotiate a deal and profit from the domain.

To conclude, any typo domain has a value at which a buyer is ready to buy the domain. In case of generating revenue, if the domain receives a lot of traffic, or is a name that is predicted to become popular in the near future, there are bright chances of the domain being high valued and ending up in a purchase worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

ACQUIRING THE NEW gTLD - IS IT RISKY??

According to recent meetings by the WHOs WHO of the domain industry, over the subject of introducing new generic Top Level Domains, some very big news have come up.
The Internet's governing body ICANN has accepted about 2000 applications regarding the introduction of new domain extensions which may include product related names like .Shoes and brand related extensions such as .Nike etc.

With the announcement of this news, the future of the domain industry is highly unpredictable. While one may easily predict that .COM is going to be the unchallenged leader in the near future, long term perspective is still unpredictable. No one can predict if any of these new TLDs are going to be more popular than the older ones. Will they overcome .COM or not is a big question mark!! But for sure, with the advent of the new extensions, the vendors are finally going to have a hand on some of the domains which will stick to the minds of their customers, or lets say, perspective customers.

The introduction of new TLDs may mark a significant and massive change in the domain industry. The marketing industry is going to be affected at a great level. So, Internet Marketers better be prepared with this. Having a hand on some of the top domains with different extensions is anyways going to contribute to the online business.

If a particular classified extension becomes popular, chances are that others too may take off. Lets say, if .shoes becomes popular, there would be no shoe company without an online presence with a .shoes extension. The same applies to other extensions as well. Definitely, the domains are going to attain high value in such cases.

The SEO industry is going to change as a whole. Instead of competing on a particular keyword with a .COM extension, they will have the classified categories to compete in.

To conclude, I would say that the new upcoming domains have a huge potential in making your online presence felt. They may contribute significantly in shaping your online business, acquiring new markets, getting massive online consumers and ultimately, ruling a niche as a whole.

For those in the domaining industry, it is time for you to invest in this high-risk high-return venture. Acquire some of the top domains, sit on them for some 2-3 years and then cash out with extensive profits!!

WARNING- The venture may be risky and may lead to loss if the market does not get good response from the consumers as otherwise predicted!!

.NET NEWS -- THE YEAR'S BIGGEST .NET SALE!!

PIZZA.NET is the year's greatest .NET deal done so far. The domain was sold for $150,000 and the deal was handled by PremiumURLs.net

The deal is the second largest non .COM deal done so far this year after Mobile.xxx which was sold for $160,000.
Sedo.com has been carrying out maximum number of deals in the top 20 deals done so far.
Though .COM still emerges as the leader in the domain industry, it seems that good domain names with extensions other than .COMs (.NET , .ORG , .CO , .CO.UK) are not lagging behind. Any good generic name with extensions such as these may have bright chances of selling at a very significant price!!

ALL ABOUT DOMAIN BACKORDERING

Domain Backordering is a service provided by domain registrars in which a person can attempt to acquire an already registered domain name when it becomes available for registration by pre-ordering it.
It increases your chances of acquiring that particular domain name but in no way, guarantees success.

As a matter of fact, over 750,000 domains expire every single month and over thousands of domain every single day. Since an already existing domain has a set of traffic associated with it, they are highly valuable in the market.

DOMAIN EXPIRATION

Whenever you register a domain, there is a specific period of time for which you register it. The time period may vary from 1-year to 10-years. Now before the time period lapses, you need to renew your ownership for the domain, failing which, your domain is said to be expired. And that is when domain backorder comes into play.

Once a domain expires, there may be thousands of people up for grabbing a particular name and within no time, you may find that your domain is already registered for the next span of time by someone else. Now you are left with 2 options-

1- Wait for the domain to expire again which may take years of time.

2- Pay excessive amount of money to the owner for acquiring the domain.

While one leads to excessive loss of time, the other may lead to excessive loss of money. To avoid both of these problems, the best way is to backorder the domain.

ADVANTAGES OF DOMAIN BACKORDERING

1- It is an extremely fast process. When compared to doing it manually, it is always better to backorder.

2- It saves a lot of time. You can place multiple backorders and simply wait for the results without having to monitor it manually on a daily basis.

3- The process is highly reliable and secure if carried out with the correct domain registrars. With some registrars, you may never get the domains that you pre-ordered. They set it up for auctions as soon as it becomes available without having considered the backorders.

4- The process is similar to buying a domain. So, it is extremely easy.

5- You only pay when your backorder is executed, i.e., only when the company acquires the domain for you should you pay for it. This may differ from registrar to registrar.

6- Some of the registrars only accept one backorder for each domain. Hence if you backorder a domain with them, chances are bright for you to acquire it. This is not the case with all the domain registrars.

WHAT IF MORE THAN ONE BACKORDERS ARE PLACED FOR A DOMAIN??

If a domain registrar facilitates more than one backorder for the same domain, then it may be possible that more than one person has backordered the same domain. In case the registrar acquires the domain, it is listed for auction among those who backordered it.

For example, if a domain name, say ExtremeTechie.com, has been backordered by 3 persons, say X, Y and Z with the same registrar.
If the registrar acquires the domain on its expiration, the domain is put to auction where only these 3 members who backordered the domain, may participate in the auction. The person who places the maximum bid in the auction for that domain is declared as the winner and he pays the bid price to the registrar to acquire it.

Now that you know what backordering is, why wait?? You may start to backorder the domain which you want to acquire, either for personal use like hosting website, or simply flip it for a more profitable venture.

WARNING: Not all domains can be backordered; may be due to the HOLD status on the domain as a result of trademark infringement issues, or due to the fact that the registrant might renew the domain before they are removed from the owners right.

DOMAIN FORWARDING

Domain Forwarding is a service which comes as a part of the domain name that you register for.
It is a tool by which you can direct the traffic visiting your URL to another url which may also belong to you or to your affiliate marketing website.

The service is free of cost and can be availed by visiting the settings of your domain name and choosing the domain forwarding tool. In the URL address, enter the web address that you want to be the destination of your domain.

It is a great method to sign up for an affiliate program and direct your domain directly to your destination URL by using the affiliate link in the Domain forwarding Window of your domain.

For example, I have this domain called CraveMoney.com
But when you search for cravemoney.com , you are directly taken to Easy-forex.com which is where I have forwarded my domain to, using my affiliate link.
When someone signs-up with the website using my domain, I am paid some commission as an affiliate.

Using the Masking option

Another option that is asked when forwarding a domain is MASKING to be enabled or disabled.
Masking means whether the user or the visitor of the website should know that they are being taken to another website or not.
If you enable the masking, i.e., Masking is ON, then the URL in the web browser will show your original domain name and user will not have the slightest indication that they have been taken to another web address. They may consider the destination website to be your original one.
While if you disable the masking, i.e., Masking is OFF, then the URL in the web browser will show the domain name of the website on which you have forwarded the visitor or the URL and user will know that they have been taken to another web address.

So, domain forwarding is a small but essential tool which may help you generate significant income online with almost any domain name, if used properly.

Go and enable it now if you have any unused or un-parked domain.

Good Luck!!

SELLING YOUR DOMAIN ON EBAY

Ebay is a great marketplace to sell your domain names. There are a lot of buyers there and the affiliate program which they offer, makes it further easy for you to sell your domains.
But before you start with selling on ebay, there are certain things which you need to know about Ebay to extract the most out of it.

Points to consider before selling on ebay:

1-  In case you are new to the website and the world of selling, it is always good to read and understand the website, their Terms Of Service, the Agreements, how the auction works, the type of listings, the applicable fees and review the categories. It is always advisable not to opt for add-ons listed on it like the 'highlighted listing' options.

2- As soon as you opt for an account on ebay, simultaneously go for an account on Paypal. Paypal is the payment method through which you may easily receive your payments as soon as the sales are made and verified. To have a Paypal account is a must if you going for any trades like Domain Flipping or Online Marketing where there may be a lot of transactions involved. Paypal is extremely safe and facilitates transactions across multiple countries and currencies thus making the process extremely easy.

3- Having an account with ebay, you would need to choose a USERNAME. It is extremely important to have a simple and relevant username. The username must be something related to the niche you are targeting. Since we are targeting Domain Names, possible username could be DomainKing, DomainGuru, Domainer, etc. This would clearly explain the products you are targeting and give you an advantage over those having a non-relevant name.

4- The feedback that you get from your buyers is extremely important for your further sales. Therefore, it is always good to answer all the questions of a buyer or a prospective buyer. In case you have a negative feedback, I would suggest you to go for another account.

Having a positive review can boost your sale at a great rate. The further sales may have excellent response once you have a good feedback and develop a trust and reputation on the website in the categories that you specialize.

Listing your Domain name

Listing your domain name is a thing to master. There are a series of steps involved in listing the domain name. For example,  the category it should be listed in, the starting bid, the time for the auctions to end, the day of the listing, the number of days it will take for you to transfer the domain, etc.
Having mastered this area may lead to good turn-over.
Here are some tip to follow while listing your domain in the ebay auctions:

1-  Always list a domain for auction at a minimum bid price of 0.99$.
Yes, you saw it right. Although it may sound crazy to list a domain for which you paid more than 5$ to register at a minimum bid of 0.99$, it is a tactic to attract more buyers for your domain.

The lower the minimum bid price, the more buyers are going to participate in the listing. And the more buyers participate, the higher the bid gets and the process accelerates within no time. That is what our purpose is, behind having a low bidding price. What happens is, the bidders get attached to the domain and once this happens, they won't allow any other person to grab it from them. As a result, you would notice a bidder bidding again and again on the same domain in case his bid is replaced by another bidder bidding a higher price than them. You would notice more bidding activity on your domain and ultimately, price would soar much above the price you paid for the domain.

2- Do not place any kind of restriction or limitation on the auction.

3- Do not place a reserve price. There is no use paying extra charge for adding a reserve price.

4- There is a small fee pertaining to listings in an auction. However, there are offers from time to time where you can list a bulk amount of domain for a comparatively less amount. Avail the offer and save a lot out of them.

5- List the domain in the right category. It helps prospective buyers to find your domains easily. The most recommended category to list a .COM is

Computers & Networking ---> Web Domains & Services ---> Domain Names ---> .Com

6- Including a BUY IT NOW is up to you. If you feel it necessary, include it. Else you may leave it to the fate and let the auctions decide the price.

7- Describing the utility of the domain is extremely necessary. For example, if you own a domain named JobTarakki.com, you may mention it clearly that the domain may be used for job related websites. This way, it helps to target the buyers.

9- It may be a good choice to mention the domain registrar for the domain.

10- Including a picture along with the listing is a must and helps your listing rank over other listings which don't have a picture along with them.

11- Including a profile picture for your account is a good practice and it helps build trust with the buyers.

12- Keep the transferring time as less as possible and yet comfortable for you to meet the deadline.

13- Interlink all your listings. This may help in selling multiple names to the same client.

14- 7-day auction plan is the best suited plan. It attracts most number of buyers for your listing.

15- Include contact information. Provide your email address.

16- Use Escrow service to facilitate and ensure safe money transfer and domain selling process. They are like middlemen, handling the transactions successfully and safely.

17- Send an email thanking the buyer for the purchase.

WARNING: Always push the domain only after payments have been made. This will ensure that there is no deceitful activity on your part since many a times, people push the domain only to realize that they have been fooled and that they never receive payments.

Now that you have mastered the guidance needed to sell your domain at ebay auctions, its time for you to apply it in the real world. So go out there and capture the domain market.

Good Luck!!

DOMAIN APPRAISAL- WHAT IS THE VALUE OF MY DOMAIN??

The value of a domain name is the price range around which the domain is predicted to be sold. Owning a website or a domain name is like owning a piece of real estate and therefore, there is certain value for each domain name that you own ranging from as little as $1 to millions of dollars.
The longer you hold the name, the more valuable it may get.

DOMAIN APPRAISAL is a term frequently used whenever there is a reference to valuating a domain name. It is the service offered by companies in which the domain name is valued on certain criterias which may include the number of searches for the name, i.e., popularity , the past records for the name, backlinks, age, length of the domain name, whether it a generic name, presence of hyphen or numbers, previous sales record of similar names, etc.

Some of the websites which offer a free domain appraisal based on different algorithms which they follow are listed below:

7- NDDConsulting.com

One of the paid services for domain appraisal can be found at DomainAppraisal.org

Though using the Domain Appraisal gives you a rough idea of what a domain name could be worth, the real price may greatly vary from the appraised price depending on the type of customer and its value to his business.
Some of the customers may go crazy about a domain name and they may make an offer which the owner may not reject. The value of a domain name is its value to a particular business. If a business sees a good oppurtunity in your domain name, they may be willing to pay a price much above your expectation or the Domain Appraisal value.
On the other hand, if a business does not find any value in the name that you own (however good it may be), they may not pay you a single buck even if the domain is worth many times more.

While some of the generic names are valued over a million dollars, most of them have been taken and are not available for registrations anymore. A 3 or 4-letter word domain is a good domain to have. They get sold at a considerably high value.

THE TOP 10 DOMAIN SALES OF THE YEAR 2013 ARE LISTED BELOW

1- IG.com                                  $4,700,000
2- 114.com                                $2,100,000
3- MathGames.com                   $725,000
4- ReverseMortages.com           $600,000
5- Brand.com                             $500,000
6- Body.com                              $380,000
7- Booker.com                           $375,000
8- DJI.com                                 $300,000
8- Mojo.com                              $300,000
8- Yinhang.com                          $300,000

I don't think anyone would have predicted the value of these domains to be anywhere around the value for which they were sold.
And that is what is called 'The Art of Domain Flipping'

In a nutshell, the domain appraisal is an approximate value which may be used to price a domain.
It facilitates the seller to place a minimum or an approximate asking price from the prospective buyers. It also facilitates the buyer, a sense of satisfaction for the price which he has paid for the domain.
However, the actual price of a domain is what the buyer is ready to pay. If there is a great demand for a name, the price may soar very high and vice-versa.

At the end of the day, each and every domain name that you own has a potential to be a name that businesses may opt for and are ready to pay a significant price. You just need to market yourself properly. Finding a prospective buyer, or the best being, finding the end user for a domain may prove to be a highly lucrative and successful venture fetching a handsome amount of money.

Don't get upset if a domain name that you own has a very low or 0 appraisal value and don't get very happy if they have appraised it for a really high value. It all depends on your marketing skills and the business needs.

So why wait?? Go out there and find the prospective buyers for your domain. You may use the WhoIs directory to find the details of buyers who may interested in your domain. If you are successful, even a 0$ value name may go for huge profits!!

Good Luck!!!

HOW TO FLIP DOMAINS - A COMPLETE GUIDE

Domain Flipping is a great business to try your hands on right away and generate some quick profit out of it.

AIM: Buy quality domains at low cost and sell them to prospective buyers at a profit where margin may vary significantly.
TIME to SETUP: 2 hours a week.
INVESTMENT: Minimum 10$. Ideal investment is 80$-150$.
PROFIT: Upto 10 times the investment or more depending on marketing capability.

One of the best aspect of this is that it requires minimal work. Unlike website flipping which requires constant updates. And the cost involved is minimal.

The domain flipping is a 3 step process:

1- Buy memorable, appealing domain names from registrars like GoDaddy.com
2- Find prospective buyers or list them on auctions at auctions.GoDaddy.com
3- Domain is sold. Repeat the process with the profit to create more profits.

Now the first topic which we will cover here is

BUYING A DOMAIN NAME

Warning: Always buy a .COM domain for flipping as a beginner. Never go for .NET or .INFO for domain flipping. Once you have your experience in the industry, you may try your hands on other TLDs(top level domains) for flipping.

Tips on choosing a domain name:

1- Always choose a .COM.

2- Choose a name that describes the niche you are targeting and does not need an explanation. For example, my domain name is domainexplore.blogspot.com which clearly indicates that I am hosting a domain related blog.

3- Keep the name short and simple.(3-4 letter words are hard to find and sell at high prices. 5-letter and plus begins to get cheaper).

4- Choose a domain name which is catchy and memorable.
5- Always prefer to go for the shortest possible name. Long name do not tend to do well in the industry.

6- Make the domain easy to type. If a domain name requires considerable attention while typing due to length, spelling or the use of unmemorable words, it is not a domain to buy.

7- It is very important to avoid trademark infringement. The domains may be available for registration but once you register them and discover that the domain infringes a trademark, you are going to be in big trouble.

8- Avoid hyphens and numbers as these domains don't sell well. You may invest in them and then get stuck with it finding no prospective buyers.

9- Misspelt names are always a risk. Either they go for a high price or no price at all. The odds are usually against it.

10- Most of the single-word domains are already taken and you won't find them for less than multiple thousands of dollars. So be creative. Use a combination of two words to find a suitable name (eg. YouTube, Microsoft, SEOmoz etc)

11- Register for a short period of time if you are doing it with a view of flipping it.

12- Buy Geo domain names(domain names targeting a specific geographical area) to target specific geographical dependent niche. They are easy to flip and you may make a decent income out of them within no time.

Now that you got an idea of which domain name to buy, you may go for searching an ideal domain name(which meet the above standards) to buy from domain registrar companies like GoDaddy.com

Most beginners go for buying 10-20 fresh domain names to flip. It may cost a total of 50$-100$ to buy them if you use the coupon code or avail the discounts on the website.

Secret domain selection

Now here is a catch while selecting a domain. In the search for finding the best domains available, the easiest route to take is exploring the expired domain listings(domains which were previously owned but not renewed).
These types of domains are far more appealing to buyers and sell well due to the fact that they already have an existing traffic, a page rank, backlinks and a certain age(they have been operative for quite a long time) which adds credibility to it.

Resources for EXPIRED DOMAINS

Now that you have your ideal domain names, it is time to sell it and make profits.

SELLING A DOMAIN NAME

1- Listing on online domain auctions

Listing on domain auction sites is the easiest way to sell a domain. You just need to create an account with the site and list the domain which which you want to sell. One of the best domain auction marketplace I have ever discovered is auctions at auctions.GoDaddy.com
They give multiple options as to how you would like to sell the domain.

a) 7-day public auction - In this, the domain is listed for minimum offer price and the auction runs for 7-days. The highest bidder at the end of 7 days wins

b) Offer/Counter offer - In this method, the domain is listed for sale at a minimum price and people bid for it with a price greater than the minimum bid. It is up to the seller whether he accepts a particular bid or not. The bid expires after 3 days.

c) Buy Now - It is the price at which seller is willing to sell the domain. It is the exact price with no negotiation involved.

d) Offer/Counter Offer with Buy Now - In this, offer/counter offer is accompanied by a buy now price at which a bidder can buy the domain instantly.

It is the best marketplace I ever found to sell my domains.

Another good marketplace to sell your domain is flippa.com but they charge a listing fee in advance before listing any domain.

2- Parking your domain with Sedo.com or Afternic.com

This is the best method to sell your domain while generating simultaneous income from it. When you park your domain with either of these services, your domain gets exposed to a community of prospective buyers. The chances of selling your domains increase a hundred times.

1- You may enable ad support on your page which when clicked generates a certain revenue for you. The revenues per click are small but they get added up to generate an amount greater than the price of the domain. Thus, even if the domain doesn't sell (considering the worst case scenario), you are going to break even.

2- You also get a constant report of the traffic rolling in to your domain.

3- It provides a free landing page with ads and 'This domain name is for sale' option with the price and the type of listing you have opted for and all the payments are processed by the company. You only need to pay a small commission out of the profit after the final sale is done.

4- You can customize the landing page and have the theme you like.

Thus, parking with sedo.com is the best option one can opt for in the industry of domain flipping.

3- Domain is sold. Transfer the domain to the buyer

When the domain is sold either of these ways, the concerned company sends an email prompting the owner to transfer the domain to the buyer. Just follow the instructions and transfer the domain.
Once the domain transfer is made and confirmed, the intermediary company transfer the funds to your account.

WARNING: There are many scams related to this domain transfer. Fake emails are sent asking to transfer the domain in a particular name. Beware of it. Confirm the email first and then proceed with the domain transfer.

So what are you waiting for?? You are now trained!! You may start finding the domain which you can sell for good profit. Buy some 10 of them and try to sell them. When you are done with them, go for more domains.
Ultimately, when you generate enough profits, go for bidding in auctions and forum and then sell them for much higher prices.

Make Money Domain Flipping.

Good Luck!!

APPLE OR STEVE JOBS??

My craziness over acquiring APPLE products knows no bounds after the launch of the new iPhone 5S.
The phone is extremely sexy, fast and has excellent features. The products are near to perfect with the design portraying the artistic and highly creative work done by the best CEO in the world, Mr. STEVE JOBS.

But when I ponder over my love for the products by APPLE, I can not help but imagine Mr. JOBS giving his presentation in a black turtleneck, a blue jeans and a frameless specs speaking with all the charisma at the launch of the first iPhone. And that makes me wonder, Had it not been Steve Jobs presenting the product in such a charismatic way which would arouse instant interest in the public, would the iPhone with a price in premium range be successful as it is now??
Do the people go for the brand because it makes the best phone ever or is it because of Steve Jobs who made the product appeal to our heart and had our sentiments attached to the company.

And the obvious answer I reach out to, is that the success of APPLE is a combination of both. Firstly, the product which has been designed to such a perfection that it is always difficult for the company to further improve on it. And secondly, the very crucial part of the selling process called 'MARKETING' where there is no competition to the mighty Steve Jobs.

The fact that people wait all the year long for the one APPLE product to be launched and que up days before the Apple store, to get their hands on the newly launched product is because they are emotionally attached to the product, the perfection of the product and the creator of it all, Mr. Steve Jobs.

Steve Jobs has created an all new era in the field of technology for the generations to come. On this auspicious occasion of the launch of two of the new products, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, we don't miss PEEFECTION. We miss the PERFECTIONIST.

Though he may have left us, he is still alive in out hearts.
The GREATEST ENTREPRENEUR of the MILLENIUM has left us a message to take home
"STAY HUNGRY, STAY FOOLISH!!"

MAKING MONEY FROM DOMAIN FLIPPING

Money-making online may seem very simple from a bird's eye view. But as you get into the industry to try your hands on it, you get to know the real challenge behind it. While it may be a child's play for some people making money online, there are many who could never make it. It all depends on the art that you learn from the experience by actually stepping in and with time. It all depends on the training and experience.

I will guide you through my experience which has made me thousands of dollars in the past year since I began my career in this industry.

Domain flipping or Domaining is a business and an art of making money online where one buys a domain name at a certain price with a view of selling it at a higher price to an end user or monetizing it to bring in a stable cash flow to the domainer.
The person involved in this venture is called a DOMAINER.

The secret lies in buying a domain name (an intellectual property) with a view that others might be needing it for their business or brand. Then look for the correct buyer who is willing to pay a good price for your domain. The domain need not be a brandable one. Just any domain which has expired or aged or any general domain name which you think you can sell to a business is all you need.

It is an industry with a huge potential and promising returns. And the best part is it- You can take it as a PART-TIME JOB, CAREER or just as a HOBBY and make some good money out of it. You can easily make from anywhere around 500$-2000$ trading in domain names. And the best part is, it doesn't require much of your time.
There is no loss involved. The worst case scenario---YOU BREAK EVEN !!

The domains can be registered with the DOMAIN REGISTRAR companies such as GoDaddy.com
They are the cheapest and best service providers in the domain and Website industry.

ADVANTAGES OF A DOMAIN NAME

Having your own domain name gives you control of your own email and your presence on the web. A domain provides a permanent address that is easy to remember and doesn't change with physical relocations and job changes. It is like your real estate in the Internet world.

You can use the address to develop your online property called WEBSITES. Your email is delivered to the inbox of that location, i.e.,address of the domain.
Besides, you get to own the domain name for a particular period of time(minimum being 1 year) at a minimal cost just that anybody can afford.
Moreover, domain names are transferable.
They can be sold at any given point of time.
They can be parked and you can generate money doing nothing, absolutely nothing.

Having numerous advantages, there is no reason for you not to have a domain name.
Either you profit from it or at the most, you BREAK EVEN. There would be NO LOSS in registering a domain be it the minimal registration fee.
Registering a domain name is done through a REGISTRAR who manages the domain for you in a master registry and handles a billing.
One of the biggest registrar companies in this market is GoDaddy.com
It is the biggest service provider and has excellent support system.

WHAT IS A DOMAIN NAME??

A domain name is a unique address on the web or call it the Internet world.
Just like you have an address to the place you live, domain name is a analogous to your home address, only that it is your address on the web.

Every time you type in a web address or send an email, you are using domains controlled by an individual person or a group or an organization. Domains are deceptively simple. In fact very simple to make out. You may recognize them as the characters that follow the @ in the email address. The actual structure is more complex than it may appear on the surface, and it may be used in different ways.

Lets take an example:

Registered domain with a registrar: exam.com

Email: yourname@exam.com

Domain name for a website: www.exam.com

URL(Uniform Resource Locator): http://www.exam.com/index.html

The domain you use is your address to the web.It functions in ways similar to snail mail delivered to a mailbox at a physical address.
